Open Heart Lab
Where authenticity meets creativity in action
Open Heart Lab is an experiential group in Rome that blends creativity and experiential exercises to foster self-discovery and authentic connection. Through guided activities inspired by sociometry and psychodrama, participants explore their stories and goals in a dynamic, supportive space. This is not a passive workshop — it’s an active laboratory where you engage with yourself and others in real time, unlocking insights and personal growth through action. By confronting internal blocks and uncovering what holds you back, Open Heart Lab empowers you to step into your authenticity and move toward a more vibrant way of living.

What do you do in this workshop?
This is an experiential therapy workshop. We start out with a group warmup using game-like exercises to check in with your emotions and current state of mind. Then we proceed to do individual work, focusing on one or two person's situation and story, guided by the director. Often participants are "enrolled" to help the protagonist in their work, which the director leads. Levels of participation are up to the individual.

Do I need any experience in acting?
While we borrow some ideas and terms from theater, experiential work has nothing to do with the art of acting. No experience is necessary at all, you can simply show up! The director contains the group and guides the protagonist in their work.

How do I know if this workshop is right for me?
If you are experiencing some repetitive patterns in your life that you would like to change, or have recurring habits stemming from negative self beliefs, or simply want to make an internal shift to receive more joy and ease in your life, then this workshop and method can really help you.

How can I prepare for the emotions that might come up?
The work we do in this group is always fine tuned to the individuals and their own particular pace. We establish a sense of group safety, anonymity and closure, so that you can share openly. The director is trained and equipped to handle the emotions that may arise and how to soothe and support one's process. Come with an open mind – and an open heart, and see that the process leads to wondrous results.
